Reaching the Abbey

The Abbey is accessible by foot only, a 30-50minute walk from Casteil.
Distance from Casteil: 1600m.
Elevation: around 300m.

N.B. Remember to bring water with you.
Drinking water is not available at the Abbey (but we’re working on it!)

Important

* The Abbey is visited by guided tour only. Groups must pre-book.
* The visits start at the times indicated below and last about 1hr. Please arrive 15 minutes beforehand to purchase your tickets.
* The visits are in French. A written translation in 9 languages is available at the shop (Catalonian, English, German, Spanish, Dutch, Italian, Danish, Polish, Russian).
* Please dress respectfully.
* Animals are not allowed into the Abbey.

Tarifs 2008

* Full price: 5 €
* Tariff Intersite Passes and groups (over 20 people, pre-booked): 4 €
* Reduced price: 3,5 € (children 12-18; students; unemployed).
* Free for children under 12.

* School groups :
- Primary school : 2 €
- Secondary school : 3,5 €
- Free for group leaders.

Credit cards accepted over 15 €
Cheques accepted over 7 €
Foreign travellers cheques are not accepted.

To pre-book your group, please contact us in writing by email, fax or letter.
N.B: A 4x4 taxi booking does not include the visit.

Adapted visits

Visits are available in other languages if pre-booked :
- English, Catalonian, German, Spanish.
- Visits for school-children. Specially adapted visits with worksheets are available for school-children.

Mass and Liturgy of the Hours are open to the public. The Abbey church is also open for those who wish to spend a time of prayer.
